A fine Nichole Freres Organ Music Box

playing 8 airs – the gamme no. 29 (taken from the original tune sheet) from a 16″ long cylinder and was retailed by Perkins and Gotto London and the box bears the original label.

The box bears the serial number 40144 marked on the original tune sheet and the winding handle. It has ‘Nichole Freres’ stamped into both of the ‘combs’ that sit either side of the 17 individually marked organ stops.

The box is Rosewood with marquetry inlay to the front and the domed lid.
