A Late Georgian Cast Iron Sundial

A very unusual form of Cast Iron Sundial based on a classic or traditional Georgian tripod occasional table, complete with original or contemporary sundial plate.

Standing on ball or spherical cast iron feet that would have undoubtedly  been set into the ground to give the sundial stability and the impression of being a table.

The tables from which this sundial has been modeled or derived would have dated from the late Georgian period and we have no doubt that this sundial is of this period English Circa 1780
